Vampire Diaries 1x09

wyntarvoxI have been catching up on Vampire Diaries the last week or so. It's fun so far, but something happened in 1x09 that I really didn't like.
I can't believe Lexi was killed! That made me so mad. I liked that there was another non-douchebag vampire and a genuine friend for Stefan.
I also have this thing with stories that have immortal characters that I really hate when the particularly old ones die (Lexi being the oldest vampire we've heard of so far in Vampire Diaries). Like when some ancient vampire in an Anne Rice novel dies. It seems like such an... achievement to get there, just to have it ripped away.
